Some of the more clever crackheads have started mounting small gas powered engines to their bicycles, and carry a gas can for extra range.

There is a strong correlation between price and crime, a matter of supply and demand. If you want to be left alone, you probably want to be on the outskirts of the city.

Hope this helps :)

Hello! And thank you for the welcome!

Haha well I will definitely look out for that.

I am looking at the area East of South Burnett Rd, which looks to be nearing the outskirts of the city.

I really appreciate the advice, that definitely helps and gives a good gage of where to be.

Thank you!

This might sound obvious but look for signs of pride in home ownership. If you're on the fence about an area look at things like signs in the yard, decorations, and lawn care.

I think that is some good advice. I haven't really thought too much about the pride in home ownership and looking at the signs in the neighborhood such as landscaping. I will definitely pay closer attention to that. Thank you!

Hey everyone!

I am going to be moving to Springfield Ohio within the next month or two to be closer to my girlfriend who goes to a college nearby. I have visited this area a few times before but I am really unsure of what are the better or safer neighborhoods to live in. What would you all recommend?

I also have been saving money to invest in a duplex to house hack in this area, but I don't want to be too hasty with buying a property when I don't know the area well. So along with a safe neighborhood, what areas would be the best to look for to invest in? Primarily looking for cashflow and with appreciation being secondary.

Thank you all for your help and guidance!
