@Joel Owens that's some great advice. Thank you. Do you need to start as a residential agent to get to commercial?

@Paul B. Good to know. It seems like many multifamily investors come from places outside real estate. I'm thinking becoming a property manager would be a good way to go. But it seems like most aren't paid enough to invest in something like 32 units+

@Tanner Marsey I agree with you. I am just looking for a career that can give me an edge in multifamily investing. I'm also thinking about becoming a property manager or appraiser.

I would really like to become a real estate agent. The only thing that holds me back is that I hear some agents don't make any money for up to six months.

I was wondering, would this be the same for agents that are on a team?

My thoughts were that I could start off on a team then transition to become a solo agent once I learn the business more.

@Yannik C- V. I like your attitude! I definitely will do that. I just need some steady income first. I appreciate you chiming in.

@Justin Larese That's some really great advice. Thank you.

I'm currently a business major in college.

What do you guys think is the best career to get into if I would like to be a multifamily real estate investor? I was thinking an appraiser or property manager. Something else?

What do you guys think?

Does anybody here know how to get a tax delinquent list for Cook County, DuPage County or Kane County in Illinois? I know you can get it from the court house but the lists are just everyone and I need people that are behind 2 years or more. Anybody know a good lead list provider that has data for Illinois?
