Hi All, I am going to rent out our current house and wanted to check how crucial it is to verify with the current property management company for prospects.  The PM company is adamant about them not releasing information until their current tenants submit an application to release information.  As a newbie doing this, I wanted to check if this is a must on the to-do list.  The prospects are upfront with their situation, have fairly good jobs and things checked out.  Thank you in advance for all your advice.

Hi there, I recently acquired a couple properties in Mckinney and Princeton areas.  The houses require some minor cosmetic work such as paint, floor, trims.  I wanted to reach out to the community and see if anyone got some good experience with a good contractor to share.  Thank you for the information in advance.

Hi @Jason Hirko I was looking for SFR and duplexes. I am open to either.

Hi all, I am a new investor in the north DFW area.  I have been searching for rental properties to build long term wealth for me and my family in Richardson/Plano/Allen/Mckinney for quite some time, but a good turn-key property deal in a reasonable neighborhood seems to be difficult to come by.  I wanted to reach out to the community to seek your expertise and potential partnership in real estate rentals.  I am strong in finance/accounting (not a tax person though) and love spreadsheets as I used to work in corporate finance.  Glad to be part of the community.

@Bryan Kahligyes that's right on. I also started looking outside these neighborhoods and outside Dallas.  And started looking into some wholesales deals.  Some of them seem very much CF positive but the locations are too far from where I want to invest - I am just not comfortable investing in something without visiting it first, even when the numbers look really good on paper.

Hi @Bryan Kahlig

We have a similar goal and are also in the same situation. Everything moves really fast here in the Plano/Allen/Richardson/Mckinney area.  We are actually wondering if we should hold off on investing right now and wait until things slow down (if ever)...
