having trouble decide weather to invest in an apartment or a house.

apartments are cheaper but will have to pay management fee and the property price will not rise much i am led to believe.

house are more expensive and require more work running them however have the potential to rise in value 

thoughts please?

I am in the process of buying my 1st property but i have a hit problem on the tax front.

I am currently a sole trader and if i buy the house a rent it i will go over my tax band and have to pay 52% on the rental income?

my question is i guess when going forward with building a good portfolio is it better to be set up as a plc

Property I am looking at is going for 85000 current tenants are paying 9000 a year. Cost are rough 2500 and mortgage is working out 5000 a year..

Looking at properties now and just wondering what do people think and use as a guide as regards a good cap rate return? And also a good cash on cash return? Looking a property with a yield of 9% gross seems like a good investment

Ireland is where I will be investing. Having done some numbers myself on houses in the bigger cities I have located some decent house which could turn over some good rents. At the moment the economy is starting to improve and they is a house shortage which I believe will improve rents even more and increase house prices...
