Do any of you provide a washer and dryer for your tenant? I close on my first rental house in a month. I am budgeting for the renovations. I already have to replace the washing machine. Should I buy a washer and dryer or count on the tenant to put their own in there? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. My goal is to identify any issues with the house that would cause me to back out of the deal. I had my contractor walk through it with me. He didn't see any glaring issues and did not endorse hiring a home inspector so I'm tempted to skip the inspection and have a plumber take a look at the questionable shower. Would a home inspection be advisable from a liability standpoint?

Greetings, this is my first post on BP. I currently have a contract on my first REI. I am in a 10 day inspection period. The house Is in good condition. It has new floors and newer HVAC. One bathroom is suspect for possible leak in shower. And the roof looks to be in the latter years of its life span. Question: Should I hire a home inspector or should I just hire a plumber, roofer, and electrician separately to do their own tests and inspections? Thanks.
