Hello/ Saludos!

So, I was looking around to see if there were any meet up events happening around our island of Puerto Rico but I did not find any. I even went around looking for any fb groups and even checked external meet up websites. That being said, I was wondering how my Puerto Rico RE people feel about possibly meeting up in the near future to share experiences, network, hang out, and just get to know our islands BP community a bit more!  Heck, maybe we can start a fb group and get others who aren't on BP to join and grow the community.

Any thoughts on this? :)

Hi people of BP!

I'm currently looking to see if any investors in Puerto Rico are in need of any help with their next investment.

While I have read a book or two, have listened to many podcasts and have been researching tons of other information on the topic, I haven't actually had any hands on experience with RE.  Nonetheless, I am eager to learn all I can by tagging along and seeing how the whole process goes. From financing a deal to hiring a contractor, whatever it may be I would love to learn how it all works.

Please feel free to message me if you need an extra hand on your project, I would love to help anyway I can and learn a few things along the way.

Hi all! My name is William García, I'm 21 years of age  and I was born and raised here on the island of Puerto Rico. As the title states, I'm a newbie around these parts. I've been listening to tons of podcasts and reading up on books about RE but have just now decided to finally post here on the BP forums.

With that being said, I was wondering if anyone could share a bit of insight/personal experience about the potential of investing in rental properties over in PR.

You see, since discovering BP 2 months ago I have never been so excited about something in my life. Reading books and listening to podcasts has been great and immensely valuable to my better understanding the world of RE, specifically rental property investing.

The problem I'm having right now though, is that I'm having a really tough time getting a clear picture of the real estate market over here on my island.

No one in my family or any of my friends have any experience dealing with real estate so when I try to get their opinions on it I always get the same "things are really bad, there's no opportunities on the island." "Move to the states, things are better over there".

If anyone could take a moment to enlighten me on the topic and push me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it. Also, if you live here on the island maybe we can talk about it over some coffee or something (my treat :) )

I'm very eager to learn and take the leap into the world of rental property investing.
