You guys are professional note investors. Have you purchased NPN in Illinois? Is it true in the state of Illinois, if the investor is a non-originating or non-lending debt buyer, they would be deemed a collection agency under the Illinois Collection Agency Act. The Act requires for any debt collector that is not a bank, or lending or financing institution, to be licensed as a collection agency in Illinois. As of January 1, 2013, it explicitly added debt buyers to be included under the act.

If this is true, is there anyway around it?
