My partner and I are looking for distressed SF or Duplex properties around the Columbus area. Our main focus is Columbus, Lancaster, and Newark but are open to deals within an hour. If you know anyone we could get in contact with or have any advice let us know! We already have financing and are looking to get going in the next couple weeks or so.

I've been listening to podcast/reading all about rental properties and I think the time has come to give it a go. I live East of Columbus, OH and have been looking for single family or small duplexes in the area. Columbus market is a little out of my price range, but I was thinking about investing in the Newark, OH area. 

I was wondering if anyone had any information, they could share about their experience in the past year or two. It seems all the post I have read on here are older and I'm not sure if conditions are still the same. Are rentals a good idea in this area? There is a lot of business being built and I feel as if it will drive people out East. Any information that could be passed along would be greatly appreciated!
