@Robert Goldman

Appreciate the heads up, now I know that's an avenue I shouldn't pursue!

I was a member of 3 or 4 some (many) years ago, then I narrowed down to just one, GaREIA. You may make your own choice. My gig is buy and hold, help folks in my REIA learning / doing their first buy and holds.

RE is a team activity where your network is there to learn from and guide you past problems at the locale level.

West Cobb / Douglasville / Douglas Co are good areas to buy 1% rentals.  Read the paper i wrote linked off my profile Bullet Proof Rentals.

 Immediately pulled up your guide and plan to dig into it after work, thank you! I'll also be looking into GaREIA as that's exactly the type of community I'm looking for. Hopefully we can meet sometime in the near future, thank you for responding!

Hello everyone, I just moved to Georgia from Knoxville, TN and am looking into deep diving into the Real Estate Industry. I'm a 25 year old kid in the middle of his career looking for a way to earn income on my own time by putting in the hard work and effort it takes to succeed in this industry while also passing along knowledge to others whenever I can. I'm particularly interested in the BRRRR method as well as House Hacking if that is viable. I'm planning to move to the Vinings area soon and create opportunities for myself within the city of Marietta, Smyrna, and Vinings.

I'm currently in the process of becoming a Loan Signing Agent, planning to start doing signing by the beginning of July, and attempting to attend as many REI meetups in the area. I would love to connect with like minded individuals here in the area for lunch or dinner during the weekday evenings or the weekend, just shoot me a message or post here and I'd love to chat.

I would also like to know if there is a certain trend going on in the Atlanta area, is it wholesaling? flipping? BRRRR? I'd love to know more about the environment here!

Thank you for reading and hopefully we can connect soon!

Thank you both for the advice! Ill work on being able to attend my local REIA meetings and trying to meet others in the area as well!

Hello all, I posted about a year ago on here about trying to get into real estate investing. I had no idea about the obstacles that needed to be overcome in getting financing, finding deals, etc, but I kept learning and reading and at the same time finding a job where I could have steady income while I continued to learn. I had just recently graduated that previous year in December and desperately wanted to work and provide for myself. Fast forward a year and I have a steady job with income now wanting to take my first steps into looking for apartments to hold and rent out in the Knoxville area.

I am still focused on being my own boss and putting in the incredibly hard work of being a successful real estate investor in the buy and hold philosophy.

If there is any advice, or wise words that you'd like to impart on me as a beginner here in Knoxville, TN or just in general, I would very much appreciate it!

Hello everyone, name's Anthony. I recently graduated from college this past December with a degree in Business Analytics. It's been my dream to own my own business, invest in multiple markets and make income passively. My parents and extended family have never been good with money due to multiple personal reasons, but I am here to break the mold. I'm extremely motivated and inspired to work my *** off (excuse the language).

I've already read tons of articles here and I know what preliminary things I need to start with. i am currently working on a business plan, researching the market and the like. I'm trying to build the best foundation for success now and continued success in the future. I was hoping to find any fellow investors, beginning or veteran here in Knoxville, TN that would be willing to provide any sort of advice. I realize nothing is given and everything is earned and I have lived by that mindset all of my life.

So with that I wanted to introduce myself and voice my goals and aspirations. Thank you!
