I am looking to take ownership of property by way of tax sales, or liens. I hear that is a great way to get property for pennies on the dollar. My goal once I get the property is to quickly sell it or maybe even rent it out. Any ideas? Anyone with experience?

My plan is to rehab and rent properties. Since I don't have cash to start out, wholesaling seemed like a great way for me to get some extra cash without alot of cash. Am I wasting my time?

Hi Everybody,

BP members have given me alot of advice about my path to financial freedom via REI. One way is changing careers and working in a field that is involved in real estate. I am ready to take that step. I've applied to a couple different places today. However I was wondering if my BP friends had any advice or any leads on businesses that needed any help. I am currently a Store Manager for GameStop. I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

Hi Everybody,

By December 1st 2004, I want to earn enough from REI to quit my job. Currently I work in retail and there is no room for me to save and not much credit. I know there are a lot cards stacked against me, but I know it can be done. Has anyone started out investing with little to no money or credit and made it a career?

Welcome to the site. If you're very new to Atlanta, there's some excellent networking groups and local REIAs that can give you a good opportunity to meet people and get a feel for the social and network scene locally.

I flip primarily in the in town markets (Intown Atlanta, that is). If you have any interest in that area, let me know and I'd be happy to have a cup of coffee and talk shop.

That sounds great Aaron. I'll send you a PM with my info

I read articles, blogs, books and guides about wholesaling and they make it seem so simple and easy. I'm the wholesaler, I find a great deal. Then I find an investor they buy that deal under contract from me for a fee? It seems like that there has to be something else to it? I'm in Atlanta if there are any locals that have some feedback
