@Kris Mead

I appreciate the reply and that fact that you're reaching out!

I am also out of state for work, Oakedake California, and will be returning soon, I hope!

I look forward to meeting you and learning from you.

@Kris H.

I will definitely pay attention and see if I fall into that dummy category. I hope I do not but this is my first go at it.

I have a professional painter/ drywall repairer doing the work. I was just buying the paint so I didn't get uncharged for it.

If the painter complains I will definitely start buying primer and paint separately.

Thank you very much for your advice and guidance!

@David Mathews

This post was very informative and I appreciate you taking the time to leave such a detailed description of your thought process.

I asked this question because my mentor Rachel Fazio gave me her advice and then told me I should ask all of you!

I literally placed the order before reading your post and decided to go with:

BEHR PREMIUM PLUS 5 gal. #MQ5-23 Intercoastal Gray Flat Low Odor Interior Paint and Primer in One

It was a little pricey, at 117 dollars per 5 gallons, but I believe it is quality paint and I personally like the color.

We shall see if it's a hit or not! Thanks again!

@Aaron K.

Thank you very much for your time and advice. I was already leaning towards gray so I wasn't to far off.

Hello Bigger Pockets!

I have a three bedroom two bath rental property that is 1147 sq ft and located in Sherwood Arkansas and was built in 1983.

What color should I paint the interior?

It has original hardwood floors and tile in the kitchen with original "crystal" door knobs.

Maybe I'm overthinking it but either way I'm looking for your advice!

Hello Bigger Pockets!

I am very green to REI'ing. I closed on my first property 12/11/19. My plan is to house hack and then use a Heloc loan to purchase a multi family property.

I'm so new I've already posted my introduction in someone else's introduction... so, bare with me please.

I'm looking forward to educating myself and creating a strong network. I've read several books and am currently listening to the Bigger Pockets podcasts.

Any and all advice is welcomed!
