I'm looking to buy a lot and wondering how long soil testing takes for new builders in Durham, NC. Would this change based on what size building you would put there? I would need the test performed on an individual lot.

I do. It encompassed a lot and was too much to write out a reply in a post.

@Joe Villeneuve If I had enough money to buy in all areas of the county at the same time I would be in heaven. But thanks for the reply.

Existing home sales just came in from the National Association of Realtors. 5.46M actual vs 5.43M forecast for the month of January. Previous month's numbers were 5.53M. Still solid numbers on an uptrend since early 2019 when sales spiked down. Just another metric to help gauge the strength in the U.S. housing market and the economy.

Hey Lauren, most of these replies hit home but to summarize Raleigh just has a great job market and high education. I enjoy being able to make a weekend trip to the beach in under 2 hours and a mountain trip in 4 hours. Plus the downtown scene always has fun nightlife and we are constantly being mentioned in Forbes as a Top 10 place to live. I'm from Jacksonville FL so need that gateway to a beach now and then. I hope this helps!

These are great events to attend. Unfortunately I won't make it out tonight b/c of the weather!
