Thanks for sharing. How did you find it and did you use a team or turn key? I am looking in that market also :)

I actually created an entity for tax savings too as advised by CPA. It was something about pass through tax benefit, that can offset passive income against ordinary income. Is that not correct. Is there a good resource to read up so that I am not paying uncessarily.

Hi,

I am a newbie here and looking to invest in Cleveland, OH. The videos from @James Wise were amazing in getting me excited about the prospects. I wanted to hear from investors in this area (if you don't mind sharing)

  • Did you invest in SFR or MF?
  • How has your experience been overall 1-10?
  • What's your biggest frustration of investing there?
  • How's the rental churn and vacancy been for your rentals?

Really appreciate your help!

Cheers

Vishal

Hi,

I am new to BiggerPockets and I can't imagine how I missed this awesome place so long. I am here to learn from others and share my experiences as I start my journey around building an investment portfolio.

My investing interest - I own a couple of properties in Seattle area and a few overseas. I am here to explore my options to build a real-estate portfolio (buy and hold) with positive cash flow. I am looking mid-west markets given what I have read about them. I have good credit and looking for properties that don't need too much work. I do have capital to invest right away.

My flip interest - I do have construction experience as my wife and I built a lovely home for ourselves in Kirkland so open to good "flip" ideas/deals for Seattle area too but that's not primary :).

Above everything, as I said earlier, here to make friends and learn. Look forward to it :). HELLO EVERYONE :)

Cheers

Vishal
