@Ryan Kelly @Bryan Noth

Thank you both SO much for your reply and insight. It's extremely helpful and appreciated it. It sounds like the towns North of Austin is seeing faster growth from the South Side, which is extremely helpful, Thank you!

In regards to property taxes, are there any towns that are significanty lower/higher than the others in the northern austin suburbs? I stumbled upon New Braunfels because I noticed the taxes were around 1.7% which helped with the cash flow a little.

Again, always appreciate the help from the BP community. Anything I can do to help or give insight in my area I'm happy to!

Hi All!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! I had a question that I was hoping some people can chime in on..

I'm looking to buy some single family investment properties in the surrounding Austin areas. I've targeted a few areas but wanted to know some peoples input since I am out of state (I live in NJ). I'm looking to buy a new construction for my first property. Something low maintenance for the first one and once I get a feel for the area and network then I'll look at other things. I've noticed there are some towns where you can get some new builds in the low to mid 200s. I've narrowed them to Kyle, Georgetown, New Braunfels, Jarell.

From what I see New Braunfels and Jarell are a bit too far. I imagine someone who buys something there is not commuting to Austin for work. So I guess it brings it down to Kyle and Georgetown.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience in these towns and can give any input? Is one town better than the other? The purpose here is to buy and hold long term so I am not sure which town has more opportunity for development.

Thanks again everyone for the help! And if anyone needs any help in NJ, I am always here to give my input!

@Jaime Pinarello - what a small world! I just sent you over a DM!

@Jason Gonzales @Forrest Faulconer - thanks for the kind words and reaching out!

Question - all my purchases to date have been thru the MLS, was wondering if there are any other avenues you can suggest in terms of finding some more deals / opportunities out in area. Obviously right now things are super scarce in inventory and I've been in multiple offer situations where at that point the properties don't make much sense.

Hey Guys!

Long time listener, first time posting in the forums! I’m a NJ Real Estate agent who invests out of state. So far all my investments have been in the OKC suburb area (Norman / Moore / Yukon area) and I have had an amazing experience out here. People are just great to work with out there. I just wanted to say hi and would love to connect with any agents, or vendors out there! I’d be more than happy to share people I have met along the way here!

Point of this post is I just want to try to network more out here as I continue my search and to build my portfolio!

And if anyone wants to learn about the NJ market - I would be more than happy to help! :)
