Hi Everyone,

I’m located in Charlotte, NC. I’ve been researching how to become a property manager and it’s been difficult to find in depth information. All it pretty much tells me to do is get my real estate license. For those of you who are property managers, could you share with me what steps you took? Also, do you work for a company or do it on your own?

@Brock Mogensen Thanks Brock! If the numbers don’t work then it’s not a deal!

@Rob Lee Thank you for the response! Would you mind sharing why you only invest in properties built in 1995 or later?

@Bob Okenwa Thank you Bob! I attended a real estate meetup and one of the guys mentioned that he used a NACA loan for his investment. Another investor suggested it as well. I'm going to contact him and do more research of my own.

@Kiera Underwood Okay great! So it really just comes to down to making sure the numbers work and having the reserves to potentially pay for a repair if it happens sooner than later. I love the idea of having the previous owner pay for the home warranty for a year. I will keep that in mind! Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it!

@Peter Shafik Thank you Peter! For my first property I didn’t want to have to do too much rehabbing so this is helpful!
