You know, it's so funny I've spent the past few weeks with my nose in books about this very subject. Have any of you heard of The Secret? Recently featured in Oprah, it talks about a very similar belief... that the energy you put out there, positive or negative, will attract things of the same nature into your life. A very intersting and inspirational concept. I'd Google "The Secret" or "the law of attraction" and do some research on it. It's very applicable to real estate inveseting and I've found that I've certainly made some progress using these methods....

Hi everyone! I must admit, I've been reading these posts for a few months and finally decided to dive and say hi.

My name is Mara and I'm currently a college student. I've been reading about real estate investment for a little over a year and it has become something I definitely see myself doing in the upcoming years. I'm also a double major in Real Estate & Urban Land Economics and Finance so I have a good handle on the basics of the business.

After all these books, websites and postings I have read, I've narrowed my interest down to wholesaling for now. I think it is a great place for newbies to start and to learn and grow from there. I'm just a bit hesitant to begin... I've decided to start attending the local Real Estate Investing club to build my network and talk with a Real Estate lawyer to learn the laws of wholesaling in my area.

So, before I ramble on too much more, I wanted to see if there were any Investors from Madison, WI or Chicago, IL (hometown and where I go to college)? Also, any suggestions on how I can keep moving forward would be fabulous!
