Hi. I have been a Biggerpockets member for 2 years. I have been following topics, religiously using the calculators, and educating myself to the point of being overwhelmed. I have been getting ready for a long time. I'm tired of getting ready and I need to just do it. I'm looking for a mentor to follow around and learn while doing. Is there anyone from the Chicago area that would be willing to help me?

Good morning all,

I'm Vertrice from the south suburbs of Chicago. Pleased to meet all of you. I have been interested in real estate investing since I purchased a bank owned property a few years ago. I kind of put my desires to the back burner since I started back to school for my Bachelors Degree in Project Management. My eleven year old daughter suddenly stopped watching Disney Channel and Nickelodeon seemingly over night and she now has every TV in my home posted on HGTV. She has voiced that she wants to flip houses, so now that I am done with school as of yesterday, I can devote more time to investing. My goal is to wholesale my way into generating revenue to be able to flip houses (I want to avoid the banks as much I can), and also buy and hold for a steady cash flow. I am excited to obtain all the knowledge I possibly can about real estate investing so hopefully, I can retire within 10 years and leave my children a legacy.
