Yeah I know it's bad business on his part. I figure I would offer a small payout for using his name till the loan is paid off. He isn't interested in investing or becoming a partner for the long haul, simply helping out.

i want to get a friend to put a home loan in their name, I'll pay it off and have them sign it over to me. Is this legal?

In NC it seems like everyone is trying to avoid renting to tenants with section 8. Why? What are the highs and lows?

*This is a business question*

A neighbor had a great idea to start a business in our area that isn't here but would probably be a great investment. Her husband isn't wanting to take on extra projects so he told her to wait. She and I talked, I love the idea, and it seems like something I could fund without him. I suggested for us to still continue the conversation, and I would fund it. They have since moved across town. I've tried to reach out and she hasn't responded. Am I in the wrong or do I owe her something if I start the project without her?

I know my relatives have money I could borrow, but I'm having trouble getting them to see past me being younger and so forth. How would you convince your relatives to invest?
