Welcome @Frank G. Congrats on the successful rental! I think the Manassas area has good opportunities for cash flowing on rentals, as compared with most other areas in Northern Virginia. Where in Manassas is your townhouse, closer to I-66 or Prince William Parkway? 

Thank you @Gerardo Dominguezand @Russell Brazil. This property was first a primary residence for 4 years and then I moved to be closer to work. I'm still in the research phase on branching out into getting an investment loan on a new property, but I hope to get to that point in a year.

Thanks for the links @Rafael Reynoso. I have heard of Traction REIA. I am planning to go to one of their meetings over the summer when my Wednesday and Thursday nights are free again. I'll check out the other two. Where did you buy your first property? Prince William County as well?

Hello BiggerPockets Community, 

I've been a member for a year now and have made great use of this forum in getting my first rental in Manassas market ready and rented out. Now I am looking into buying another rental property and building my portfolio. I currently work in real estate on the accounting side of operations and I am looking to get into real estate development at some point in the future. I am finally ready to start networking, so if anyone wants to connect, just hit me up. Also, I am open to any suggestions for solid REIA's to join in the area.
