We look on the MLS, Zillow, edina realty. Mostly finished with little repair, and potential for an extra bedroom for example, in the basement.

So, let me just say, this market is nuts! My boyfriend and I have been actively searching for properties and submitting offers and we don't get picked. Our realtor who also invests in real estate has helped us submit strong offers. A couple weeks ago we submitted and offer on a home with 30 offers! We were too two but still didn't get picked. It has been discouraging. I dont want us to stop looking, hoping the market will change. Cause I dont want us to miss out on potential properties. I'm curious, are any of you buying or bought in this current market? Are you going through the same things? Is there anything different you guys did?

I also want to add, that we run the numbers and we go based off what makes sense and would give cash flow.

@Linda S. that is basically what it is. underlying goal for me will be to just create a relationship and see how we can help each other. Thank you I will add that to my questions, and also add more to what I can offer in terms of giving more value. Your second paragraph we already discussed that in the email. I was very clear and precise on what I want to accomplish because he did ask that very question.  Thank you for your advice. :)

@Account Closed no, I'm definitely ready. I have an idea what to ask, I'm just looking for what others have to say or what advice anyone has. You are right about the explanation not so specific. I met this person at a meet up group for real estate one of the first events I went to. Is playing the Cash flow game. Anyways I just contacted him about starting in real estate investing and told him a little bit about myself. We have set up a date and time to meet.

@Jeff Wallenius Thank you, I actually have gone to some of the events since this year started and I have met some people. :) I have heard that a lot also that the first deal is the scariest after that people just went totally in. LOL

@Michael Lee Wow your story is amazing!! Im glad you and your brother persevered. Do you own any properties now or are you about to start?

@Iverem Rose Yeah you are absolutely right, completely out of my comfort zone. yeah you are right I just need to be brave. Experience is the best teacher. :)

Thank you all for your comments!
