Congrats Caitin!

I remember walking that property back in 2017 when it was ~ $330K or there abouts. I can't remember exactly but I believe the  basement had an old coal storage room the original owner turned into a basketball court :) Can't wait to see the awesome remodel pics once completed.

I haven't tackled an historic home remodel myself, but I do believe their are grants out there for it. If you don't already have a Historic restoration Contractor lined  up, I hear the James R. Irvine Construction company comes highly recommended.

-Ciao!

Great job Trey! Sounds like your duplex may be on the north side of Hagerstown. REOs can a bit of headache, but it's looks like you hung in there. A bit of advice; I like to call,  Investor Safekeeping:

"Keep an eye on your bottom, Keep excellent books, Keep one eye open, and most importantly; Keep good people around you, if you want to Keep the money rolling!"  -Tyronne J. Clarke

So many questions. I think if you hit a bit more on the financials you will get a bit more interest.

Thanks @Account Closed lots to digest. I think it would have more interesting if a contrasting CPA weighed in on what was being said from tax vs. legal perspective

What is your opinion on LLC taxed as S-Corp vs. Sole Proprietorship protected with liability insurance?

Hello fellow BP investors! I'm a newbie and this is my first post. Looked up the the #hubcityreia and started binge listening to everything I can get my hands on. Looking to get the training wheels off with a 5 unit in #Hagerstown. The goal is buy-n-hold (5-7yrs) until amatorized then move onto higher quality properties closer to the Fredrick area.
