Quote from @Mariel DeVito:

I'm an investor/realtor in the area, with three rentals in the area.  I hate to sound cliche but what is your investment goal in getting a place in Jacksonville?  Understandably, you can still find property under $200k BUT the quality of renters that you will get wont be the same caliber of renters that the average investor looks for (ideal credit score, 3x income, etc.).  At that price point, you are potentially looking at tenants who are looking for landlords who accept section 8 or may have 2 of 3 requirements that you are looking for.

Its fine I appreciate any questions/insight.  My investment goal is to eventually expand and get other rental properties in Atlanta and Jacksonville. I don't mind section 8 either

Quote from @Minna Reid:

You can find a basic SFH for under 200k, in working class neighborhoods in Jax - west side and north side will be your best bets. Might even get lucky east of the river. c+ level. There are areas to avoid, but it's very doable. The market has cooled quite a bit over the last year. Feel free to reach out if you need assistance.

Thank you will do

Hey Basit what attracted me was honestly how close the drive was to Orlando and how it isn't too far from Atlanta.  I started spending some weekends there and thought the area had a lot of potential.  Since I was comfortable with the area thought it would be a good idea to geta property there, I also have a friend who stays in the area as well

Afternoon I'm looking to get a second property/ rental property in Jacksonville FL.  I'm currently pre approved for  $200k.  I am looking for any advice on getting in to this market or if it is worth it.  I have a basement Airbnb in Atlanta /Turo business so I would love to share information on that for anyone who needs it as well.   Thank you in advance
