Where is the best place to find rental property listings? Zillow, Trulia, MLS or is there better websites?

My wife and I are still a ways off from investing, but I would like to start analyzing one property a week. What’s the most user friendly sight to find multifamily listings?

Also, if I was to invest a portion into an index fund would you suggest finding an app or website to do that on my own? If so what sites have you heard or experienced to be the best?

Or use a professional?

All great advice. We have our emergency fund (6 months of expenses) in a low interest savings account with the bank that I work at. I am a commercial loan officer and a regional bank in the Midwest.

I would say we are about 3-5 years out so this is great insight. Wasn’t sure what the fees would look like and not sure if the volatility/fees would be worth the short term increased in earnings.

What is the best investment vehicle for the savings that will eventually be used for a down payment on our first rental property. Currently we have about $5k in a discover savings account earning 2%. Is there a better vehicle for this money while we are saving for a down payment?
