Hello! I'm new to BP and I thought I'd share my real estate journey thus far.

My first contact with real estate investing came 2 years ago while scrolling through my instagram feed. It was here where I discovered wholesaling from a guy who would make videos with his students holding their checks for thousands in hand. His name is Mark Whitten. To make a long story short I bought the course, went through all the lessons, took no action. At the time I lived at home in Cincinnati, OH and I lacked focus and had my hand in too many things at once.

Fast forward almost 2 years to the date, I'm now living in NYC with my girlfriend and I see Mark again with another one of his students come across my screen and I thought --"man... if only I had stuck with the course I could be where they are." That's when I went digging in my email archives for the course I bought 2 years prior and luckily I had a lifetime access to the course. So I retook the course and this time I took thorough notes, listened to call sessions, and just immersed myself in every piece of content. Since then I've watched countless videos and listened to many podcast episodes on BP and others. Ever since, I haven't been able to go a day without thinking about real estate.

Now that I know a little something about REI (wholesaling in particular) I am super excited to do work! I started taking action and picked up some leads. There's just one thing, I want to focus on the Cincinnati market because I know that market and not on NYC market for obvious reasons-- expensive, competitive, scarcity, etc. However, I've been to a NYC REIA meeting and recently took a trip home to cincy and went to a few REIA meetings there and the value in these groups is endless.

So I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I wanna invest in Cincinnati, but I live in NYC. I have a big decision ahead of me. Any and all feedback is welcomed. I look forward to connecting with everyone.

Great story! It's truly amazing what can be done from owning real estate. So many creative ways to make money create an easier life for yourself. The fact that you were able to pay off all of your debt with one house and over only 6 years or so is truly inspiring. Thanks for sharing @Joshua Harold
