@Samantha N. I know people who invest in that area and do very well. I'm just about to close on a 3 unit in a different part of the country. What are your specific questions?

 how were your experience?

Fantastic, We are currently house hacking it. with both other units it covers the mortgage and we get about $200 profit a month. So it is definitely a long term play.

I have lived here for the past five years. You can definitely invest here and make a good amount of money. The East coast is good, as well as the North Coast or even Santo Domingo. It depends on what type of housing you want to do. STR? Apartment buildings? There are lots of options depending on your goals. First off, though, the biggest question is funding. How are you planning to fund this deal? The best option would be a HELOC. That is all that I have found out anyhow. Mortgages here have a very high-interest rate.

I am looking to purchase A triplex in the Dominican Republic. It is around 130,000 and I cannot find financing. Would anyone happen to know of a lender in the United States that would provide financing to an American, for a foreign property?

@Corbin Dallas hey, Corbin! Minot seems to be a great place to invest right now! There are a few of us in here who are doing it. There is a local meet up that happens that @Amy Raye Rogers sets up. I'd connect with her.

@Florsabel De La Rosa I've lived here for five years and it is a great place to invest. If you're looking short term rentals I would only reccomend the north east peninsula. Long term rentals to locals I would reccomend elsewhere though.

@Yonathan Beltran De La cruz it can be, depending on where you want to invest and depending on what exactly you'd like to do. I live in the dominican republic and it has been good for us.
