@Abel Curiel Thank you for your feedback and insight it is greatly appreciated. Our goal is to house hack for at least a year with the first property and then eventually sell the property once it appreciates to a good level. I have another question for you. In the instance that maybe NYC’s price range is too high for us for our first investment, do you have any other cities or states with lower prices that has high upside. While I would love to invest in NYC the prices are a bit high. Maybe there is somewhere else better to start out that is a growing city that will appreciate in value in the years to come?

Hi Stephen. Thanks for the response! I am looking to invest in New York ideally but I am open to out of state, however I haven’t looked much into the difficulties that may come with that. My goal is to invest with a friend of mine and maybe house hack it if the location works out well.

Hey everyone! My name is Tyler and I'm looking to get started in real estate. My short term goal is to get into property rentals by using the BRRRR method. I have begun to heavily research and listen to the bigger pockets podcast in order to build a foundation. Any and all tips and advice is more the welcomed! I look forward to talking with you all and becoming part of the community.
