Hey @Aaron LapradeThe market that will be the best fit depends a lot on price point. Each market has a different property avatar that performs well there. In some markets, 1BR luxury couples stays are best and in some 6+ bedrooms are best. That being said, Myrtle Beach is definitely a strong beach market. They have been making good use of the influx of tax money that came into the market from the influx of visitors during covid and have been reinvesting into the area for some considerable improvements. Gulf Shores Alabama is another strong beach market. Its a little under the radar currently but is certainly growing and in 2025 they are getting an airport!

Our team at Savvy STR Agents is national and does exclusively STR real estate and can help you find the perfect market for you! Our Client Success Coordinator, Scott Asbell, can steer you in the best direction based on your investing needs if you connect with him. Have you already started working with lenders to figure out which loan product might be best and what price point that might put you at based on that? Also, don't forget to budget for design and amenity adds for your new property so that you can get it to be a top performer in its market!

Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment in Mars Hill.

Purchase price: $281,500
Cash invested: $86,300
Sale price: $410,000

I purchased this cabin in Wolf Ridge development to hold and use as an STR. When we saw how quickly the homes in the development were appreciating we decided to list it 6 months in just to see what would happen, and ended up flipping in 6 months for a purchase price increased of $120,500.
