Hi all,

Still quite a newbie - have been looking around to find my first deal, and as I was looking for properties I came across PropertyTaxRecords.org. I was hoping to get a few opinions as to its usefulness. Has anyone used this site in the past to look up title information, tax history, ownership information, etc.? Looks like it requires a monthly subscription but allows for unlimited property searches.

I'm wondering if this tool might be particularly interesting / useful for wholesalers who are looking for distressed properties?

Thanks in advance!

Tyler

Thanks all for your replies (and I apologize for not having responded here earlier). FWIW, my wife and I actually did decide to go the old fashioned way (realtor vs. Homie FSBO), largely because a realtor offered to help us sell our townhome and waive his commission if we would use him to close on our new home. Totally made sense for us, as we were in a time crunch to close on the townhome and move into our new construction SFH in Springville (we were going to move to Vineyard but we really wanted an actual backyard!).

In any case, it will be interesting to see the future of FSBO and Homie (and others that I imagine are out there).

Thanks all!

Hi BP community,

Newbie here - still have yet to buy my first REI deal - but I am currently in the process of selling our current home (3br 1.5 ba townhouse in Provo) via Homie.com. It seems like a pretty slick way to do FSBO, and the value that they've provided so far has been great (professional photos, good support on listing thru KSL, Zillow, Trulia, etc.). So purely out of curiosity, my question is: what impact, if any, have brokers and real estate agents seen Homie have thus far on the RE market?

Thanks,

Tyler
