Thank you everyone, great points about repairs and damages! Does anyone have any advice for how to handle going about paperwork? I know it's quite a process and there's a lot of different documentation needed (mortgage, taxes, insurance).

Recently purchased my first home. What are the biggest problems new homeowners have to deal with? Is it the paperwork? Finding a good policy for mortgage/insurance?

I'm looking for any products to help me get better coverage for my current policy. I know about ZeneHome and their City of LA partnership which has made entering my info/coverage pretty simple so far, just seeing if anyone know's any other companies which might find gaps in my policy?

FYI all your home info (prop taxes, mortgage, permits) are now easily accessible via City of Los Angeles on ZeneHome

Heard Los Angeles' city council is helping sponsor ZeneHome for LA homewoners? Can anyone confirm this? Apparently entering your home address on ZeneHome will be able to pull all things relevant on your home -  from what you should be truly paying for prop taxes to every permit ever pulled on your house.

Hi,

I recently bought a new home and am deciding between using ZeneHome vs going to bank (Wells Fargo) to secure my new mortgage/insurance policies. Can ZeneHome actually be my mortgage/insurance broker and automatically shop the market for better rates?

Hi,

I'm moving to Los Angeles next month and am seeking tech for my home which is efficient and can help me save money (appliances, paperwork, etc). I've bought some Nest appliances already and I'm also using ZeneHome to optimize my mortgage, insurance, prop taxes, etc but want to hear more about what tech others are using to cut costs at home?

Looking for tech which is efficient, productive, and cost-saving (electricity, paperwork, etc) for my home. Not necessarily only cheap options, but quality products that last a long time.
