Tim- thanks so much for the info! To be perfectly honest the desire for me to get my real estate license is solely for helping me out with my real estate investing prospects. I have no thoughts at this point to quit my current job and become a real estate agent. Its probably overkill to get a real estate license when I don't plan on being an actual agent, but my rationale is that getting a license will only help me to succeed in real estate investing. So, with that being said...any thoughts? Overkill or worth it?

Good Evening,
Looking for any ideas on obtaining Florida Real Estate Licensure. Is the licensure classes available online? Any ideas of good real estate schools in Florida would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Al- Thank you for your advice. I am a hard worker and I am eager to get started, once I know what that first step is to take. And you are right, my family is everything to me which is the biggest inspiration and driving factor behind my desire for wanting to get into real estate investing. And I also wanted to say thank you for pointing out what I also believe will be the single most important factor in becoming successful and that is the Lords blessing. I do have alot of learning to do, so any further tips/advice you can give for getting started or anyone that you think would be a good contact I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again.

Jon- Thank you, and I agree that there is alot of research and reading that still needs to be done. I am just anxious to be able to take that first step and get the ball rolling. As they say, slow and steady wins the race, so thank you for the confident advice on a gradual financial gain.

Shanequa- Thank you. I think that the smartest thing to start off with is to try and flip homes initially until I can get a decent cash flow established. At that point I think that an option will be to try and run some rental properties. But to be perfectly honest, I am so new to this that I'm not sure what the best "first" course of action would be.

Hello Everybody! So I have been surfing through this gold mine of a website, and I apologize if I have duplicated some of the same posts as I am learning how to navigate this webpage. A little bit about myself and my goals. I live in Orlando and I am currently a Professional Firefighter where I hold the rank of Lieutenant Paramedic at a local Fire Dept. I have been happily married for 10 years and have 2 beautiful children age 6 and 8. I have set a personal 5 year goal to have around 10K/month from investments and I really want to get into real estate as a means for my family to be financially "free" and comfortable. I have a passion and desire to be successful in real estate and I am hungry to make it work. Any thoughts/ideas of how to start, where to go, etc. will be exponentially helpful and I thank you for any input you can give me. Thank you for your time in reading this post and for your help and ideas!
