yeah great idea! your defiantly not alone in that fear. so at a meeting in the future this would be a great idea! we have some tvs at the coffee shop that we could connect a laptop to and we can get someone with a lot of experience in analyzing deals to go through some deals with us . thanks!

"Emerging REI omaha"

On June 9th @ 6:30 PM we are excited to host our first rookie AKA "emerging" real estate investor & entrepreneur meet up at “The Table” coffee shop in the old market omaha

(1118 howard St, omaha. Next to billy frogs) 

If you haven’t seen my previous post, this is a new omaha real estate investors & entrepreneur mindset group geared towards “rookies” or emerging RE investors and future business owners. We will work together to overcome limiting mind sets, create long & short term goals and actionsteps to achieve them, create a vivid vision of what we want our lives to look like and become, we will be able to encourage and hold one another accountable as we embark on our new business ventures. We will host speakers from every part of business and the real estate industry such as successful investors, business owners, contractors, financial planners, real estate agents and brokers, electricians and many more. They will share their personal mindset and we will dig deep into their success and how they achieved success in their careers. Be met with NO judgement in this group because we are all in the beginning stages and we will support one another as we all learn and are mentally prepared to achieve GIGANTIC dreams! 

This meeting will be an introduction point for all who choose to attend and will serve as preparation for what our groups purpose is, what we want to achieve as a group and as individuals and really start to converge as a strong community in order for us to excel in business and in life.

Come prepared to share a brief summary of who you are! Some things you could share are what you do for work currently and what got you interested in real estate investing and entrepreneurship. We want to know your goals and dreams because there is power in sharing these out loud to others.

The biggest thing we want to do is bring value to you as we bring value to each other!

We are excited to see you all there, and bring a friend who may be interested in RE or who just wants a transformed mindset to accelerate their success in any area of life! Please indicate if you are coming so we have a idea of the headcount, respond to our event posted on our facebook page!

The parking can obviously be tricky downtown so try to come early and if there’s no street parking , the parking garage at 10th and jackson is the cheapest.

@Jason James yeah the other groups are awesome! love going to them also. Creating a facebook page soon so we will get the details down and get the facebook group invites sent out. i will post again with all that! 

Hey investors! 

We will be starting a new Omaha emerging real estate  investor/entrepreneur meet up in the next couple weeks! There will be a lot more details in a post coming soon , i’m just trying to get a feel for how many may be interested.

The overview/purpose of the group:

The early stages of becoming a RE investor can be overwhelming and exciting. With biggerpockets, other podcast, youtube and instagram we can jam a lot of information into our minds. We (hopefully) surround ourselves with advanced investors and mentors at local meet ups. All great steps, but myself (Troy, also new to the investing venture) and other emerging investors have recognized that info is good but if our minds are limited and unprepared for success than the foundation of our future business’ can be unstable and hindered. A well  prepared Mindset is a constant theme in real estate books and podcast, obviously brandon turner and david greene are some of the biggest advocates . 

So this group will be geared towards the emerging investor, that’s a nice way of saying newbie or rookie investor ha! We will surround ourselves with like minded people , who are in a similar early stage as us and learn and grow together.

We will tackle limiting beliefs such as a poverty mindset. We will learn to dream gigantic dreams and set huge goals, this can be harder than it seems with limiting beliefs.

We will invite local successful RE investors, business leaders and CEO’s, electricians, general contractors, engineers, and other leaders from our city to dig deep into their mindset and their path to success.

This group hinges on consistency and commitment. We will make a vivid vision for our lives, speak out loud our ambitious goals and encourage one another and hold each other accountable to those goals.

This will be a comfortable group to ask “dumb” questions and not receive judgement, mainly because we are probably all wondering the same thing but feel intimidated to ask them to advanced investors. 

We’re going to put plans into place to achieve goals that are actionable and not conceptual. 

there are other ideas that we can all figure out such as going through different parts of books, watching talks  and live streaming out of state investors. 

Like i said i’m also at the beginning of my RE venture so i’m not the teacher, i’m acting as a facilitator. i will work with others to find guests and create content and help guide the conversations. I have been working on an abundant mindset for years, it’s hard dedicated work but possible. 

So if you are interested in attending, vote on this post or send a quick reply so i can get a count of interest. we have a coffee shop in the old market willing to donate their space and my wife is going to be the volunteer barista, so there will be no cost for entrance , i just encourage you to get a coffee or a pastry/snack just to help the owner!

i’m in the process of getting more of a “rookie” investors group started that is directed towards mindsets and foundations of success in the real estate and entrepreneur sector of life. having experienced investors , contractors , real estate agents and other entrepreneurs/ leaders of omaha speak with us.

hey nick! so i'm looking to do the same, also in the new stages of investing . i'm actually putting together a vision and outline of a new real estate investor/ entrepreneur meet up that will be a great networking group but also geared towards mindset shifts (for example poverty mindset to abundance mindset) and foundational things that will transform a small venture based on small mindedness to a large scale venture . so yeah if your interested in being apart of that, that would be awesome. i'll be sending out a post on here with mention to omaha investors , so keep an eye out for that. also idk if your already apart of the REIA omaha facebook group and also the "omaha real estate meet up" group on there , good connections and meet ups as well

hey! iv seen responses to this problem but they were all posted last year, not sure if the solutions have changed.

when i finish filling out the rental calculator, it won’t let me click the finish analyze butting so that i can see the results . does anyone have a solution or a link to the old calculator that i hear works better?
