@Brie Schmidt hey Brie. I was looking at the market around north side of Chicago. Like Jefferson park, portage park, Avondale, Norridge, etc. I can’t find good deals. There aren’t a lot of multi family homes not unless I bump up my purchase price to >$350K. I was leaning towards $200-$300K units. Any tips or other areas to look at? Thanks!

@Henry Lazerow I’ve been looking at almost all the listings and a good deal is super hard to find in Chicago especially not wanting to live in high crime-rated areas. I feel as though you’d have to raise your price in order to find good quality multi family homes in Chicago. Correct me if I’m wrong!

Hey guys! I'm just starting out with real estate investing and likely to go on house hacking strategy with FHA loan. I'm in the Chicago area. It's really hard to find a multi family homes less than $300K except around the bad neighborhoods like east of Oak Park, IL. Do I have to increase the price on the house to get more options? If any real estate investor or agent knows the Chicago marketplace please let me know! I would love to get an MLS listing. Looking to buy next year or so but wanted to get a feel of what's out there early on. Thanks!
