Hello @Trey Landwehr!

Welcome to the community and be ready for a huge amount of information at your finger tips. Be sure to check out the free tools BP provides to help analyze deals you may have and also market insights. Great tools that get updated regularly.

I am on the lending side of things and would be happy to hop on a call with you anytime to discuss financial strategies and help answer any questions you may have about nearly any loan product available to help you on your journey, even if they are not products my capital partners offer.

We are all here to help you learn and grow. Feel free to ask anything, anytime.

Cheers!

Thanks! I am in my second year at the University of Cincinnati and I live in Clifton. How about you?

I'm in Delhi Township. Working on my first duplex, almost done. Check out local FB groups to network aswell!

Awesome, love to hear about people just starting out and I really appreciate the advice. I'll definitely have to look there too!

Welcome to Bigger Pockets Trey!

If you’re looking to invest close to home, it helps to network with as many local investors as you can. A great way to start is by attending RE events and joining a local investors association. You can usually find some events by doing a simple google search.

Thanks! I appreciate the information, I will definitely have to look into events in the future!

I am wondering if everything in the Ultimate Beginner's Guide and other real estate books for beginners that were written a decade or more ago still completely apply to nowadays investing. I know the markets and interest rates change and so I am wondering if the strategies discussed can still all be used nowadays. Or, should I read newer real estate books to learn about investing strategies?
