@Mehran K. Thanks for the kind welcome.  I am happy to tell you I do not know quite a bit, but look forward to filling the gaps. There are a few reasons I am interested in the SoCal market, it is a large growing market with diverse inventories, it is familiar to me after growing up in the area, and my family and life are all near by. 

I am open to new ideas of where I should look, my only hesitation would be travel time and not being able to manage properties far away.

I am excited to be a part of BP. I learned about the site through friends of mine who have the same goal of generating passive income through real estate. I have a desire to learn more and invest in multi family units and am looking around the Southern California area. The main topics I am excited about learning (aka I know nothing about)are dealing property management, financing, deal analysis, and tax implications.
