Hey BP investors!

General Contractor out of Boise, Idaho trying to make more connections with investors and developers in the area.

I make it to the Boise Investors Group when applicable, and I love Sam Martins group on Thursday’s when I can get there, but always looking for more investor groups!

Hey Everyone!

I am still doing my investing out of state (in Ohio) but while I’m back home for a few weeks, I wanted to see if I might be able to network some and make some connections out here in Boise, ID.

Really, I’m just trying to surround myself with the right people and learn anything I can through general osmosis.

I also wouldn’t mind exchanging my time and skills for knowledge. If I can be of assistance or value to anyone in this area (when I’m not in Ohio) I would love to see us both benefit from the network opportunity!

Thank you all so much!

@Karl Hinkel My associate and I primarily look for SFR or small multi units (4 or less). That has been his bread and butter, so to speak, for the last few years in this market. Me being overly ambitious would love to get into apartment buildings when I start looking to keep property for cash flow. However, I’ll spend some time flipping these small multis and SFR until I get more experience. Thank you for reaching out, it’s always a pleasure to hear from people in the area when you’re not entirely familiar with it.

@Darrin Carey Thank you, I appreciate you reaching out! I will definitely be getting ahold of you in the near future. If you know of any investor get togethers, or even a just a social occasion down at the local wine bar, I’d be happy to attend and meet some of this city’s fine people.

So I just moved to Dayton, Ohio to work with an investor who is mentoring me. I was unfamiliar with the area and at first thought I was close to Cincinnati (yeah, not really). Anyway, since I’ll be in the area quite frequently for the next few years trying to build my team (pretty much half my time) what is there to do in this town? I already checked out the gyms I can join, so my week will consist of work and lifting weights. However, when I want to give myself one day away from business to clear my mind and rest, what is there to do? Also, if anyone from the area wants to meet up so we can network and discuss ideas amongst likeminded people, I would be more than happy to grab coffee or a drink!

@Mike Dymski I really appreciate that Mike! That’s why I’m on this site! Not just because the vast amount of knowledge between the people here, but because there are good people like yourself that can help motivate someone after their first “loss” I’m excited to grow with this business and appreciate all the criticism and motivation from others because it will just bring me that much closer to achieving my goals.

@Dennis M. I love that Tyson quote! Luckily, I wasn’t entirely naive to the fact that I had much more to learn and knew that I would stumble many times before achieving any sort of success. However, that’s why I found the mentor I have now. I knew I would need guidance and someone that could teach me the business I honestly don’t know anything about. My ambition is what feeds me, and I remain confident I’ll be successful in this business as long as I remain persistent, ALWAYS learn from my mistakes, and keep getting back up after I get “punched in the mouth” I appreciate the response though. I’m excited to be apart of this site and learn from so many!

@Joel Owens Thank you for your response and insight! I know I have much to learn, but being overly ambitious gave me good perspective. Go with the plan that works first and foremost. My mentor and I had a long talk about that after my failed attempt. He was incredibly positive about the situation because I did learn so much from the failure. Anyway, I do appreciate the response and look forward to learning more about this business with each passing day.

@Heather Foster Thanks for the response! I obviously have a lot to learn, but I also know persistence is key. I literally dropped everything I had back home to learn this business and traveled nearly 2000 miles to learn from someone successful in this field. I left behind my small contracting company to dive into this. I have put myself in such a point where I have too much on the line to give up. Anyway, thanks for your positivity!
