@Anthony C. Thank you for your thoughts. I hold a number of stocks but as you said I don’t want to touch them for at least a few years as they’re holding an emergency or retirement fund title. I’ll keep looking but as you said I’m leaning towards a high yielding savings fund.

@David Martin haha I know not enough details. Just looking for personal insights, looking to keep putting money away for 6-12 months till I’m ready to buy my first rental. Not looking for huge risk as anything would have to recover within those 12 months. But, don’t want to let the money sit in a savings account earning nothing.

Where would you recommend to park your money while you are saving to buy a rental property?

@Cassim Ross

I live and work in the Rochester area. I work for my family run company that has been in business for the last 27 years and we specialize residential electric work but we have been in charge or done numerous residential rehab projects. I would be more than happy to work with you or at least give you some contacts if you’d you like, you are more than welcome to message me.

Wanna start off by saying I don’t feed into the panic that the media sells. But, listening to finance professionals talking about the signs of a coming recession. I’m curious if during a recession, does vacancy go down or up on average?
