Hello BP! Excited to get after 2019 and looking to put my new 90 day journal to use. Sadly my mastermind group is all outta state and I'd love to create a meetup closer to home. I have some nerves about not having experience yet but I'm hoping if I build it, they will come. Anyone in SLC interested just let me know!

@Brian Ploszay hello and thank you. How would you recommend I get educated on this process?

Hello BP! Is it possible to buy a mortgage note before foreclosure? Looking at a short sale ending this month and I was curious if there was a strategy for note investing. Salt lake City.

Hello BP! I'm a newbie Realtor in Salt Lake City and I'm hoping to get some insight on short notice. Window shopping through my dream neighborhood I found a house in a great location and in the style my wife always points out. Remarks read "LAST CHANCE BEFORE HOME GOES TO FORECLOSURE. MUST CLOSE BY THE 30TH. CASH ONLY." I'm still new but my CMA's show its worth $390000-$450000 and its selling for $310000 as a short sale. With no built connections what are my options for cash purchase by the 30th?

Post: Consolidating debt. Is a HELOC the way to go?

Hello BP! I'm a new Realtor in Salt Lake City and I'm curious if you can direct my thoughts or set me straight. 1 year goal of buying my first property, largest obstacle is $35,000 in unsecured debt between my wife and I. Biggest resource is my father in law, he owns multiple properties and is retiring from the military in April 2019. Currently renting his home while he's outta state and will move out as he moves back. My plan is to ask if he'll consolidate my debt in a loan on a HELOC, letting my credit recover and house hacking with family after I move out in April 2019. Is a HELOC my way to go? What are our risks? I'm currently not paying rent, but can the loan payments I give him till April be considered rent and would it help his property get a higher reappraisal? Our relationship is great and we'll be investing together in the future.

I’d love to learn about buy and hold rentals. Any teams in Salt Lake Ut area that can help me understand what’s ahead of me.

Hello BiggerPockets community! I’ve just got my real estate license and I’m looking to carve a new career! So much info all at once but I keep dreaming about buy and hold to get passive income. Should I focus on general buy and sell for experience or should I focus on investing ASAP. It’s almost overwhelming but I have all the confidence in the world that BP can give me the insight I need.
