We live in Brooklyn, NY. Our primary is most definitely an investment. We haven't even been in this house for a year and the prices of the real estate in the area are so much more expensive. It is insane. We are both native NYers so we really scoured the nooks and crannies and found an affordable diamond in the rough.

Thank you for such a clear explanation. Well, I bought the property from a wholesaler. I had someone check to see if there was anything on the property before I bought it.

Good evening everyone. Tomorrow I close on my Cudell property tomorrow afternoon and I have my Quit Claim deed for my East Cleveland property. I am looking into landlord insurance. Who, What, When, Where....HELP? I am such a newbie and at times need a little hand holding. I see Farmer's is pretty popular. Opinions please. I'm hoping to get out to OH this weekend.

Thank you so much everyone. Now I'm just waiting for the closing specialist to contact me. I'll contact property management today to talk. Thank you for all your stories and questions. I'm grateful for this community. Regular people don't get what we do. I'm a newbie but my mind is right there.

@Sam M., I plan to fix it up and get a tenant in. I am budgeting in a property manager to handle the investment.

Thank you so much for some insight. I used DocuSign to sign everything. I thought I had to wire money in 24 hours but no one has contacted me yet. Well, we'll see. My contracts are signed and that is important. Thank you all. Soooo excited!!!

Oh no! Does this happen even after you have signed the papers and stuff? Also, the purchase is cash. I e signed all of my documents. Now, I'm waiting for someone to contact me about the money part. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I'm learning sooooo much here.
