Awesome! Congratulations! My best friend lives in Cambridge Grove in Huntersville and his property value has grown a sizable amount in just 2 years. If I were you I would reach out to your realtor for contractor referrals. If not I know plenty contractors in the area i would be glad to give you information on.

Well I moved form a northern state 10 years ago and i can say as far as "quality of life" goes, North Carolina seems to be a happier place especially in the winter time! Not sure how your market is in New Jersey but i live in Charlotte and there a ton of people exactly like you that are considering moving to our area. North Carolina is a very appealing state. You have everything you could want in one state......(mountains, flatlands, and coastal area) not to mention our winter is very mild! Good luck with your choice!

Gaston county is starting to become a hot spot.. Im starting to see more investors coming in from charlotte and buying properties in gastonia. Gaston county is the last charlotte suburb left yet to really develop. Its an easy sell to anyone because of cheaper housing prices and still having close access to Charlotte. I think right now the biggest opportunity in Gastonia is the western part near Loray Mill apartments (if you havent heard of Loray Mill look it up). They are also in the process of building a urban sports complex right down the road from Loray Mill. If you have any questions about Gaston County message me.

Im a new investor near the charlotte area and my wife and i have saved enough to comfortably to be able to start investing in real estate which is a goal we have had for a while now. We have been doing tons a research and reading and becoming educated in the area. We both have full time jobs and do not have the time to rehab a house and rent it out and be landlords. Being in our position turnkey properties sound like a good 1st investing for a beginning investor. Does anyone have any words of wisdom on this topic or if there is an easier way to get in the door without the chance of making a big mistake on my first deal??
