Hi, I've finished rehabbing and renting out my first investment property, a duplex. I've found a buyer for the property, and it's now under contract. I understand that the lease agreement carries over to the new owner and the tenants are aware that the property has been for sale. I had planned to send them a letter, if for no other reason than to be courteous and let them know not to make their rent checks out to me anymore (although I'm sure the new owner will let them know who's name to put on the check :wink:). My question is, are the any legal requirements for me to send some type of notification to the tenants (after closing) to inform them that have a new owner? If so, what information needs to be included?
