Yes from the county site. The property was being foreclosed on by the bank holding the mortgage.

Thanks everyone- @ Josie Sales- there is also a Pinellas County Real Auction site, that does online auction.

Unfortunately. there may be a glitch here with an HOA lien that I did not discover until after I bought it. This would be learning lesson 101. I will share when I know more, but I read up on the laws in Florida and am reaching out to investors that have had that experience. Not sure what the next step will be, but I am looking into it and may need to negotiate with the HOA down the line or possibly get legal assistance. If anyone has been through this, and has had a successful outcome, please advise. The law in Florida for the third party buyer in a foreclosure with this type of lien isn't pretty..

Hi All- I have been reading and learning and studying my market and following the advice in the "Ultimate Beginner's Guide." I purchased my first investment yesterday at a foreclosure auction! (a 2/2 condo that I plan to rent) Wanting to focus on condos/townhomes and possibly small multifamily properties down the line. I became an "accidental landlord" a few years ago when I decided to rent my own residence to turn the equity around (and did)  and have learned from that too..  There is some great advice here and am thankful to have found this site. I live in St. Pete, Florida.

I am also in the Pinellas County area. New to this thread, and learning. Would love to hear about potential investments in the area.  Currently have a rental house in North St. Pete that I have owned for some time. Looking for my next investment.

Hi-- Congrats!! I am just starting to explore this website and others and to get ideas by reading a lot and beginning to explore markets.  I have been thinking about studying to get my RE license, as I do have free time this summer- but I really don't want to sell full time- just want to learn from the inside. I recently came into a little money and want it to work for me so I can create passive incoe and get out of the rat race. What do you think are the advantages to getting a real estate license?

I too had seen a property in NJ that referred me to propoffers, com. When I googled it, this blog came up- any experiences would be appreciated. Thanks
