@Jeff He

That's a great thing I'm sure; to find that mentor to help smooth things along and provide some guidance.

How did you go about finding that person if you don't mind me asking?

@Jeff He

Thank you for taking the time to reply!

It must be such a great feeling to call yourself a real estate investor. It looks like you are in a similar field that I may be looking to get into. How long have you been investing in real estate?

@David Avery That sounds like a great idea! Thank you so much for that valuable information, and taking the time to respond. It seems like something that can do to help me get closer to my goals of making this happen which is what it's all about. Hope all has been going well in your real estate career too!

Hello BP Community!

I am looking to connect with YOU! - And thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day to read my post, I really means a lot.

A little back story...my name is Thomas Revithas and I am a born and raised on Long Island, NY. I am currently a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson with Coach Realtors. I have had been interested in real estate for about 2 years now and have been trying to gain as much knowledge and experience as I can. Starting off with becoming an real estate agent and I am now looking to get started on my goals of becoming an investor as well! This is my life long dream to be able to own rental properties and make steady cash flow as I watch my properties soar in equity! Being that I am on this platform I am sure that many of us have had the same dreams and aspirations, however getting started and being actually ready to pull the trigger is a different story. I have had some problems in that area and that is what brings me here. I would love to connect to some members of this community and hear a little more about their stories and use it as motivation to help me get where it is that I desire to go and find my path for success. I am also very interested in building a big network of people, were we will all be able to help each other out and share the motivation, success stories, triumphs and failures. There is enough out there for everybody to be successful and I know that real estate investing holds the key. Being that we all share that passion I would love to connect with you and hear your story. You never know who might have the keys to the doors that your locked behind. I wish you all a wonderful day and great success in your endeavors.

Thank you for your time,

Thomas Revithas

P.S. - Please do reach back out; as I would love to connect with some like minded individuals such as yourself!

@Dan Sarao Thanks for reaching out! I will defiantly start looking into a few things over there and see what I can find. I too have heard good things about Florida and it does seam to be a pretty hot place.

Being new to the real estate world would you recommend for someone to start with an investment that is a plane ride away rather than just a car ride? Or do you think that it is something that can be overcome with the proper system and team in place? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated!

@Bob Prisco Thanks for reaching out, I appreciate the warm welcome. Never made to to Blue Point but I would like to check out the brewery out there one day. Cleveland does sound like a nice idea as I am trying to find a market that would better suite me than Long Island. Those returns sound great and I would really like to get something that does cash flow well. Will definitely keep Cleveland in mind as I go forward.

You currently have about 500 units that you are currently renting out; that is great to hear and I hope one day that I can say the same. If you don't mind me asking how did you get that all started and what would your best beginner tip be? Also did you start investing in Cleveland while you were living in NY still?

@Dmitriy Fomichenko Thank you for the warm welcome and the great tips. I will definitely check out the links and try to get the most out of what BP has to offer. Learning everyday is probably the best thing that I could do right now so every tip helps!
