I totally agree with you, the law is here to protect us, looking to save a few dollars can sometimes cost much more. Getting an established company is always good for the peace of mind.

The question here was raised at a specific case, I am not getting into all the details, but the deal structure and people involve is requiring me to have this property managed by someone who is not licensed. I know that if he is one of the owners he can do it but not listed in the LLC.

I have been told that in Ohio in order to be a property manager you have to hold a broker license, or to be the owner of the property.

Is there a way around it? If I want to hire someone local who is not a broker, I can't do it?
