Curious what peoples thoughts are on triple net leases? New to real estate investing and it seems that it's an easier road to take for commercial real estate investing.

Welcome to BP @Todd Hotes!

I am an investor in Central CT and also own and operate a Property Management Company.  I'd be happy to lend any advice I can about investing in CT.  DM me if interested.

It took me about 10 years, but my rental income now replace the salary I had made as an engineer.  I did have to reinvest all my income into that for the ten years but now I have lots of equity and properties that cash flow really well!  This game is definitely get rich slow.

 Hi @Samuel Eddinger

Thanks for the welcome! Would love to talk to you about your experience! I'm learning the platform and will DM you when I find the DM!

Talk soon.

Hi,

I'm new to BP and real estate investing. I'm looking to eventually replace my day job, understanding it's a slow processes. I'm interested in multi-family rentals and other rentals that fit a cash-flow strategy. Could also be interested in seller financing. Nevertheless, would love to meet a mentor in the CT area that can help me learn and grow as an investor.

Todd, welcome to BP! CT is such an investor friendly state. There a are a ton of folks here in state who you can turn to. Across the entire state there are meet ups where you can introduce yourself to other investors and real estate professionals. I host the CTRE PROs meet up every third Wednesday of the month at Red Fox in Middletown. There is also some more in the new haven and fairfield region. Connect with myself, @Brandon Rush - @Stephanie Cabral - and @Samuel Eddinger. Were all local investors and I'm sure they all have a ton to offer as well. Good luck!

 Hi @Devin Peterson

Thanks for reaching out! I will definitely look into the meet ups! Looking forward to meeting!

Hi @Nicholas L.,

Thanks for the quick response!

My family and I live in our forever home. We sold our starter home two years ago during the height of covid. It worked out well. We have extra cash that I'd like to put to work (I usually do it in the market) but want to begin my journey in real estate investing. My long-term goal is to replace my income with passive income to not have rely on my day job. I know that's the long game, but would you recommend getting involved in multi-family rentals or other strategies, in the context of my long term goal?

Thanks so much!
