Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.  The amount of information on this site is staggering!  A person can get to information overload pretty quick here.  I've been searching tax liens/deeds and am having a hard time finding an answer to my main question.  I know tax lien certificates pay interest for the past taxes during redemption period.  My question is this: say I buy a tax lien, and it's redeemed by property owner within a month of the tax lien being sold.  What do I get for my payment back?  Do I get just my original investment?  Do I get investment plus a full year of interest since the property owner should be paying a penalty for delinquent taxes.

Greetings all!  I can't say how excited I have to have found this website in all my research I've been doing.  This is a breath of fresh air to say the least.  I'm looking forward to continuing my browsing of topics and my knowledge base.  But at the same time, I hope to avoid the "analysis paralysis" that I've been reading about.  Plus I think I'm a good one for that too, based on things done in the past.

Anyway, glad to be here and here's to everyone's success!!
