I am a new investor and finally acquired my first property with 20% down. I hope to acquire property per year but wondering what ways I can use it in qualifying yearly?

Hi All,

My name is Tobi and I am from Calgary, Alberta. I currently own a SFH and renting out the basement for extra income.

So far, I have decided to go into REI with a target date of go-live or acquiring my 1st investment property in October. I have been able to save up some money for a down payment.

My aim is to buy, rehab and flip the first property and then go into 2 properties with (1) BRRRR strategy and 2nd with the intent of flipping.

Hoping to learn from the forum and succeed in my journey to financial freedom.

What can of loans are people applying for?

Is a condo a bad idea? I see most people going for SFH's?
