Warren,

Is the problem that you cannot find deals, or that no one is buying the houses from you that you get under contract?

If you cannot find deals but have a great buyers list, find other investors in your area who are finding deals but need help with finding buyers. They get deal, you get buyer, split the profits.

If you are finding deals but not buyers, do the opposite. Find an experienced investor in your area with a buyers list and ask if they'd be willing to split the deal with you. This could also turn into a great contact and possibly even a mentor.

Sam,

Curt is definitely right. Getting out there and meeting people is very important. At the same time, educating yourself is very important. I believe the easiest way to learn is through podcasts. You can listen to them anywhere, anytime. I would recommend the BiggerPockets podcasts, or Sean Terry's podcast (flip2freedom)... Both of which can be found on iTunes. These are guys who have tons of experience, and know what it is like to start out.

Good Luck!

Hello Bigger Pockets!!

My name is Trevor Mathews, and I currently a student at the University of Florida. I've been learning about wholesaling for about a year, and finally started to apply what I have learned. Last Friday I met with a motivated seller at his house for the first time, and hopefully I will be able to complete this first deal.

At UF, there is no "real estate wholesaling" class. I am currently in the BA major, but am not sure what major would be most beneficial for a real estate investor. I was hoping some people who have gone down a similar path would take some time to let me know what classes may be beneficial for someone like myself??

I look forward to getting more involved in BP!
