Hi everyone,

I’m new here and recently connected with someone looking to retire and sell his portfolio of 19 properties (a mix of multi-family and single-family homes). I’m very interested, but I still need to analyze the deal further. My main question is around financing – how do you typically secure funding for a portfolio like this? Has anyone had experience buying property portfolios? I’d love to hear how you approached your analysis and secured financing.

Thanks!

Quote from @Garrett Brown:

Hey Tayvion! Welcome to the forums. I am a Houston native but have some experience in the DFW area. You are in one of the best places to learn here!

I am the BiggerPockets resident STR expert so if you have any questions, give me a shout or jump in the short-term rental forums. We have a great community there https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/530

Thanks, I will take a look at the information there

Hi,
I'm a Security Engineer by day and looking to learn more about real estate investing. I've attempted a flip previously and failed horribly. Since then, I've decided to mostly buy rentals in my hometown (Mississippi). However, I'm now interested in investing in the DFW metroplex; mostly rentals and maybe an attempt at cosmetic flips. I'm also open to learning more about short-term rentals and Section 8 rentals
