Thanks for this, Mark.  Good template to follow, definitely using it in the future.

Question about finding potential deals.

Does anyone have any particular resources that they use to find deals?  Potential deals, foreclosures, or any type of the sort?

I'm just starting out and trying to find the best way to tap into the inventory of my market.  I live in Annapolis, MD so I'm going to start locally.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Travis,

Wow, I honestly didn't expect the response from everyone in this forum. It's pretty awesome to know there are some people here willing to work with new folks like myself!

I'm always willing to build new professional relationships and if you're willing to compare notes or share experiences I'm definitely all ears. As I'm sort of getting the crash course education in REI under my belt, my notes are pretty minimal but if you're willing to offer up some advice as to you're current or past deals so that I can apply going forward that would be awesome!!

Since you're in the Arnold area you're probably familiar with Bay Hills. That's where I live. If you're ever up for a meet and greet, I'm walking distance to the coffee shop if that's convenient for you.

Thanks!

Thank you, Alberto. You're right, the first step is always the biggest.

Hello All!

My name is Tony and I'm from Annapolis, MD.  I'm currently work in the web industry but looking to get into investing.  To make the transition easy on myself and my family my plan is to start out slow and practice on the side but hopefully, and my main goal, is to be doing this full time in five years.

I was a licensed realtor back in 2008 right around the time of the housing market crash.  As a new realtor it was a challenge to build a client base with all of the turmoil going on so I had to hold off and put that on the back burner for a little while.  I went back to school, got my degree in Business Technology Administration and started working in the web industry.  It has it's perks, however I'm ready for some new adventures!

I look forward to meeting and networking with you all.

Tony
