@Bob Norton after all the fees my profits will be about $33k and we have only lived in this house for a year and a half

I am selling my home because my wife got a pay cut and we can no longer afford the mortgage. We will be making money off the sell and we are buying a cheaper home. Do we have to pay taxes on the profits from the sell?
